When two legendary shavers like mrdoug and Dave in KY bring out their Greenfresh, you know spring is at its peak. Talk about a perfect scent for this time of the year, when everything is vibrant, bright, and fresh. I take a whiff of this soap and I get a melony sweetness coupled with clean mint and tart lemongrass all couched in a nest of gorgeous green cucumber peels. OK, so it sounds a little like a fruit salad, but trust me, it smells very good, and I'm looking forward to slapping this one around my jowls all summer long.

Agreed about the beautiful write up.  Seeing these posts reminded me to do something I've been meaning to do -- try out an Ethos EDP.  So, I've just ordered the Greenfresh EDP.  The scent is not only fresh, clean, and vernal, but I think apropos and cooling for summer.  I'm really hoping that the EDP gives me more sillage than I get from the splash.  After all, I've got to keep using the stuff since my 7.5 once jar has a LOT of shaves in it.

Be not afraid Seth, Greenfresh EdP possesses sillage in abundance.

In the South we would state it is blessed with an embarrassment of riches regarding sillage.

Maybe down South in Georgia, the humidity just makes scents linger in the wet, sticky air.  But I'm up in the North, of course, so I'll just have to see if Frank made it work for the cooler, austere, and altogether more demanding precincts of New York, in which he and I both reside.....

The EDP should have you covered as far as longevity as Dan said.

Guys this may be coincidental regarding Greenfresh and scent strength but Saturday I made something that I’ve been wanting to come out with and that’s a Body Spray. An guess what Aroma Blend I put into it. Yep Greenfresh with sone extra giddy up and go in it.  Here’s a photo of the prototype and it has a Greenfresh Bath bar label on it just for identification.

As to not take this thread off topic I’ll do a complete write up on this new product in my thread soon.

Seth,

Tried it dead of Winter - it projects and lingers.

Prefer bombs, even then will suggest this nuclear. Use with discretion is my perspective. Bottle likely to last a life time, haha

Blood Orange (Ethos) + Old Virginia (Asylum)

Ethos’ Mandarino Fumo – a blend of tobacco and blood orange – is scheduled to drop tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. EST.* Sounds fantastic. But you know me, I can’t wait that long. I really want to see what this combination of cured leaf and fresh juice may smell like. So, this morning I decided to cook up a little something similar here at home. I took a glob of Ethos Blood Orange and mixed it with a glob of Asylum Old Virginia. They’re both soft soaps, so they blended easily. Surprisingly, the lather of these two combined was even better than either on its own. That’s saying a lot, considering both soaps make a very fine emulsion. But most important, they smelled incredible together. If Mandarino Fumo is anything like this pungent–fruity scent, I’m going to need the big tub.

Lothur grooming - Nude

Well, I will have to put this one on the #1 spot now.

By far the slickest soap I’ve used.

Used it 3 days in a row now and I’m not sure when I’ll use any of my other soaps LOL

This is the slickness I’ve been searching for Wink

Shaved this morning but life is super busy now.  I used DR Harris (a perennial favorite) in almond.  This is more a true almond scent vs the ever-popular marzipan type Italian almond and the scent is super light, almost to be unscented but it sure shaves well so what’s not to love?

It's a great soap, and even has almond oil in it, which their others do not. I always get a faint natural vanilla scent from it, but it could just be my mind.
