Thanks for the tip, TommyCarioca. I had to dig deep, but I finally found my tub of El Jefe. Very musky, a little spicy, and lots of dry tobacco. Well worth the search.
My wife, who speaks Spanish, tells me that El Jefe means something like “The Boss.” And she says it was also a nickname used by Fidel Castro, who was also very fond of cigars. dominicr, tell us what’s going on here. How did you come up with the name for this soap?

El Jefe turns 6 this year! Actually, at the time when it was developed, we were cigar smokers and I had an employee that would call me that sometimes. We needed a name, there’s a brand called El Jefe cigars, and the idea of “Being the Boss of Your Day” was born

Would love to find the scent of a burning cigar someday! I love walking through our neighborhood and passing a house where you know someone is out back enjoying a good stoge! I don't know why but I have always loved that scent
