Ya know when you use something the first one or two times and you write a rave review bc you think you've found something great, but then the next few times you use it, it's not that great? Yeah, I've been there... and lost count of how many times.

This isn't one of those.  Fourth or fifth use with SW here, and still highly impressed. And I have fully enjoyed both scents I've dabbled in so far.

If you decide to explore more scents, Valley of Ashes is fantastic!

I've thought about it! There are a few notes (cap'd below) that have made me hesitant.

Scent notes: COAL, TAR, bourbon, tobacco, bitter citrus, smoke, leather, MOTOR OIL, BURNING RUBBER, DIESEL, CLOVE, birch tar, bergamot

Do these shine through? What is your overall take/description?

Those were the notes that made me want to buy it!!!   Big Grin

Seriously though, I don't feel like they come through too strongly...this isn't a clone of P&B Spitfire.  I don't feel like it is too much of a "smokey" scent.  To me, it's a subdued smokey scent.  But, having said that, my wife is definitely not a fan.  If you want to hold off on buying it, I'll gladly send you a sample once our remodel is done and I can find where I packed it.  Probably take a month or so, just PM me your address.

Shave 2 ・ 131% left

Soap makers routinely give you a little more soap than what’s printed on the label. This overplus normally amounts to between three and four grams. But Fitjar Islands takes generosity to a new level. They gave me thirty-four extra grams of today’s Folgefonn. Nice people up there in Norway.

For the next few weeks I’ll be focusing on all the soapers who have been extraordinarily openhanded when it comes to packing their products. Who knows, maybe they just have bad scales, but I like to think they have big hearts.
