What a wonderful weekend spent with my bride in YELLOWSTONE National.  We drove up to the cabin Friday night and enjoyed a blizzard!  Well, perhaps mostly not a blizzard but the wind was howling and the clouds did drop some much needed snow.  The lake is still frozen over but I didn’t go down to the dock to see how thick the ice was.  It has to be getting pretty rotten though.  Still a huge bank of snow on the front of the lodge to the point I can’t see out the kitchen window yet.  But the place was quiet and she and I just chilled all evening.  Next morning I put supper in the crock pot and we travelled through the Park.  So many world renowned thermal features and all the girl I live with wants to do is see animals; Grizzlies in particular.  (Had we wanted to see Grizzlies, the cabin is an awfully good spot.  There was a sow and two cubs living around there last summer).  No bears this trip but hundreds of elk and bison, dozens of deer and antelope.  The poor Pronghorn mommas are about to bust!  She got to watch an osprey hammer a cutthroat for supper and this raven decided to stop and visit for a while.  I do like Ravens.   Oh, and Mystic Waters soaps are just fantastic performers and the scent of this one is killer.

I so envy your life. Regret leaving the country, deeply so. Want to get lost in the mountains so high can't be found
