What soap/cream did you use today?

Today’s start of a fresh baseball season had me reaching for Ethos Fresco….

I can’t believe this soap has lain hidden for so long.  I get so busy trying this and that that beloved scents become forgotten.  So glad I dug to the bottom of the box and discovered this tub of Santal Auster.  My my my, I’m going to keep this handy for awhile.  Sandalwood?  What’s not to love.  The stuff has staying power for sure and the aftershave has longevity like an EdT.  I really do like the label.

A week ago when I picked up this tub of Spitfire, I reckoned I had about seventeen shaves left. With luck, I thought I might be done with it by the middle of the month. But over the last six days, instead of shrinking, the puck seems to have grown. I've had to recalibrate my algorithms, and the calculations have yielded some disappointing results. Looks like there are at least twenty shaves to go. Drat. I was hoping to knock this soap off by Easter, but those dreams have been dashed. I’ll give her one more day, and then I’ll call it a ‘soap of the week’ experience. In other words, Spitfire's headed back to the hangar. I really can’t say anything but good about it. It works great, and it smells like I'm riding through junipers and piñon pines on a warm summer's day. My only grouse is that it just won’t go away.
