Le Grand Chypre (Barrister & Mann) lime chypre

This is the Omnibus version of Barrister & Mann’s Le Grand Chypre. I’ve always liked this fragrance, but this morning I took the lid off to let it air before I built my lather. Seems like all these Omnibus soaps have a burnt butterscotch off note. I’m not sure I like that very much. For me, one of the great attractions of Barrister & Mann’s earlier bases was their lack of scent. But Omnibus definitely has a hot sugar-n-cream twist. Good in the kitchen, not so good smeared all over your face.

Pannacrema, Nuavia Blu
This scent is very intriguing. I cannot classify it under any generic category that my brain can easily recognize. As a disclaimer, I have to admit I have limited knowledge about scents and also somewhat limited sensory capacity as my nose usually fails to detect certain subtle notes or minor differences between similar but not identical scents. To me Nuavia Blu is nowhere near the blue profile, based on my understanding of blue type scents. It seems gourmandish (reminiscent of baked cookies) but at the same time I would be reluctant to eat something smelling like that. Not because it smells bad but because there is something in the scent that tells me it's not edible. I might just have to have a bite one day in order to sort this out.
