Yesterday I received a new soap, from a vendor on Etsy, called Talent Soap Company. It's rather cheap, at $13 shipped. I gave it a shot, as they had a rose soap and I was looking for something to replace my recently banned LNHC Somali Rose.
Unfortunately, for me, the scent was too much of a strong, in my face, Rose. Thus, I packed it up and sent it off to Tommy. I did, however, scoop out a heaping sample worth so I could give it a shot.
The ingredients, for anyone who knows what this means, are:
stearic acid, water, cocoa butter, shea butter, babassu oil avocado oil, glycerin, castor oil fragrance & sodium lactate.
It's a croap, and easily whips up a nice looking shiny lather. For me, the soap worked well. The lather was stable and non drying. It was slick enough with a fair bit of residual slickness... albeit not to the level of my premium soaps. If I had to compare it to something, I'd say it reminded me a lot of the original crown king formula from PAA. However, it may be a bit better of a performer.
All in all, I think I would have been happy with it, had the scent been more to my liking. The soapmaker is a super nice guy, so I'll probably give another scent a try. Certainly cheap enough to experiment with.
Have a good evening DFS!
