Greenfresh (Ethos) cucumber, mint & lemongrass
Shave 1 ・ 145 g left

Somehow cucumber, mint, and lemongrass register as watermelon in my wacky nose. This is going to be an excellent summer scent. And of course the performance is just splendid, like all the other Ethos soaps. There’s one thing that’s got me curious, though. Why is there honeysuckle extract in Greenfresh? Is it part of the fragrance, or does it have something to do with skin care? I don’t think I’ve seen it in other Ethos soaps. Frank, if you’re tuning in, can you enlighten us, please?

Hi Bouki

Ok so the Honeysuckle extract is basically an anti inflammatory and has a calming effect on the skin an is especially good for people with skin issues. It contributes nothing to the aroma of the soap. I’m always looking for better skin beneficial ingredients so I do change them sometimes from batch to batch if I think the customers will benefit from the change.

Also on the watermelon you are smelling. In fact watermelon and cucumber do have some similarities so it’s funny how everyone perceives a scent. Smelling the cucumber infusion hits me right away and maybe because I’m smelling it a lot. Plus I use a lot of products with the Greenfresh aroma blend besides the shave soap and Skin Food Splash.
Hope that explains things and a good question.
