My first shave with this base. Would have guessed it was a tallow based formula. Lovely lather - it is vegan?! OK, up there with the vegan SH, SV, & MdC. Easy and slick/shiny.

Scent for me was meh. I much prefer SVs Fern Aromatica, MdC fougere, and the Wholly Kaw fougeres. The base is so good I will learn to love it. I got a pickle vibe on this, reminiscent of a few of the T&S soaps. Some synthetic accord in there is getting my attention and telling my brain it is a garlic dill I am lathering with. It did dissipate, and by pass 3 the interpretation was almost gone.

It is a tallow soap Tommy.  Google translates the second ingredient, sebo de ternera, as "beef suet".  Pasteur's translates it as "beef tallow".  Incidentally, the ingredients on the label are rather hard to read, for me at least, and I kept reading "ternera" as "temera".  Very bad choice of font IMO.

High Speed. I knew it! Had to be tallow! Big thanks. At least my hunch was right.

But I can't see, I can't smell, can't translate.... Over the bump boys.

Fresco (Ethos) lime basil & mint
Shave 7 ・ 126 g left

Fresco is bright and clean already, but I wanted a chill. So today I graced my lather with four drops of synthetic menthol (45% WS-23). That gave the shave an extra crisp, clean finish! Today’s aftershave was Spearhead’s Sea Spice Lime. Smells like pure heaven. Along with gobs of lime and lots of ozonic notes, you get coriander, pepper, and West Indies bay. It’s very easy to love. To boost the performance, I added a drop of hyaluronic acid. We’ll see if that doesn’t help all the good stuff sink deep into my dermis. And as for the razor, well, the Henson AL13 is hardly an aggressive beast. It’s more a tickler than a flayer. But combined with Fresco in F-Base and the awesome Sea Spice Lime toner, it’s driven my beard to ground.
