What soap/cream did you use today?

Grooming Dept Mallard -- specifically Earl Grey Gelato.  Love the scent of this.  Great shave.

Long day yesterday and I never found time to post but I did get a shave in at 4am in prep for an important meeting.  Both the shave and the meeting were excellent.  Sunny Lane, as the name implies, gives a bright, summery vibe and was an excellent choice for yesterday’s -2F start.  Boy howdy, I needed some sunshine.  Low structure super thirsty soap.

Back on track and back home.  Holy smokes this has been a traveling season.  This is the only GD soap I’ve in possession (thanks Tommy) and for a reason.  I struggle with the whole GD business model where the shelves are so often bare.  Not my business and I wish him well but when I like a scent I really want it to be available when I want another tub.  So the soap:  I assume the Lusso on the label indicates the base and boy howdy it’s a good one.  This is about a mid-structure lather that is slick and protective.  Really great stuff.  Three passes with a pretty hot Rocca razor and zero burn.  The scent?  To my nose this says two-a-day football practices.  You know, when you are exercising hard to get ready for the season and muscles are sore.  This reminds me of Tiger Balm.  Kind of a nostalgic scent but not one to wow the ladies.  Easy to lather.  Easy to use.
