Wild Oranges (Meißner Tremonia) Seville oranges
Shave 7 ・ 183 g left

I’m not really a fan of orange smelling soap. Don’t get me wrong, I love to eat oranges, especially when they’re hot off the tree and bursting with sticky juice. It’s that sticky bit, though, that nixes the scent of most oranges in my shaving goods. I can’t get past the feeling that I’m going to gum up my razor. So why did I order this jar of Wild Oranges? Meißner Tremonia’s orange is very green and sort of sour. You wouldn’t be tempted to lick the lather. It’s just fresh and easy, and it disappears quickly, too, like Hermès’ Eau d'orange verte cologne. A nice harbinger of spring.

Grooming Dept Shaving Soap, Mallard Almond Vanilla
Scent Notes: Bergamot, Heliotrope, Cumin, Almond, Lavender, Jasmine, Vanilla, Sandalwood, and Amber.

This soap smells wonderful off the puck, making a truly masterful sensory presentation.  It makes a stunning initial impression.  Of the three new Mallard soaps I received (Corretto, Coconut Rum and Almond Vanilla), this soap, which was added to my order as an afterthought, is my current favorite.  Much credit to DanLaw.   The beautiful Almond Vanilla scent continues throughout the shave. The Mallard soaps lather beautifully if I do it correctly.   The lather washes off cleanly, leaving my face feeling refreshed and moisturized with hints of the scent lingering. Unlike Bouki I absolutely love a well-done orange-based soap! Today’s SOTD was with T+S Orangeilla. Perhaps my favorite orange based scent so far next to Talbot Tangerine. Though I’m fairly confident that Frank’s Dragonsbeard upcoming Ethos Blood Orange will probably give these two a serious run for the money.
Yes, I know this one wasn’t a “fan favorite,” but it really worked for me.
In fact, if you have any of this T+S soap or splash gathering dust and taking up valuable space in your den…let me know..
