Congratulations, HoosierShave! Always satisfying to see a tub used up. How many shaves did you get out of Verbrannt? 

I have a tub of Le Vétiver, also by Grooming Dept. My spreadsheet says I'll get about a dozen shaves out of it. Not a dozen more shaves, but a dozen shaves total! I'm four in, so that leaves me with about a week's worth of shaves before it's gone. Great stuff, but it disappears pretty fast, especially when you've got a greedy brush.

Palmolive Shaving Cream

Crabtree & Evelyn Almond Oil shaving cream (vintage)

Sudsy Soapery - Rose & Black Pepper (Triple Butter)

Easily top 3 vegan soap base for me. A nice rose... no granny and no Windex (it's tart but stops short of that chemical singe). Black pepper is only there for support. Only essential oils, according to the label. (Tommy, this is ThuRoseDay-worthy.)



Also regarding the label, I just noticed that the one above is not a crappy paper label, like the one below:



When there's one, there's two...





But after a while you realize, there's always at least three...

I would say your spreadsheet is VERY accurate.  I ended up getting 16 shaves out of this tub, but likely could have scrounged up one more lather. 

How old is your Le Vetiver?  When I realized the soap was going very quickly, I made the assumption that because my tub is about 3 years old something may have happened to the soap.  But after seeing your post, maybe that's typical usage...at least for an overloader

16 sounds like a very small number out of a tub. Not very cost effective it that's the norm.

Realize results vary but damn!  Strict bowl latherer.  Get about 50 shaves out of even the softest Grooming Dept tubs. 

Load pretty heavy too - enough for 3 passes and post shave face lathering as cleaning the gear.  Many times, sufficient lather to do chest and arms.
