TommyCacioca Хотел ответить по русски ...
But, I won't do it. I'm impressed with the Omnibus base. Indeed - a beautiful base! Dense , thick , oily , sticky foam . The soap is very thirsty. Gorgeous glide. The condition of the face (after shaving) is excellent. I made three passes (BBS). But, I didn't want to stop... I was so impressed. In general, I really like B&M products. I have a lot and I'm happy. Would I buy a few more cans of Omnibus? Yes , if only I had a little less soap ... Now it 's about 300 . I won't say that Omnibus is the best I've tried... There are a lot of very good manufacturers. And I like them too... But, Omnibus is definitely on the top shelf!

Gentlemen's Nod - Zaharoff Signature (Cardinal)

A careful eye will notice there are (at least) 4 ingredients lists for the base called Cardinal. Very close, mostly, but still a bit baffling. It hasn't even been around very long, to my knowledge. Not a diss, just an observation. And I wonder what was the motive.

As for scent, certainly complex. Not really must-have, but not offensive (even for someone like myself who doesn't like oud in most things). Ironically, I don't think I can pick out any singular notes other than the oud, ha.

As for lather, I didn't have a ton of trouble, but I know what OasisDave was referring to. With his post above as a preface, I probably preemptively was more aggressive loading and started with a bit more water in the brush than normal to pull it from the soap. And when face lathering, it definitely doesn't blow up in volume. That said, I wouldn't call it troublesome (I've bought way too many Sodium Palmate-first soaps in my career, so a "troublesome" soap to me is defined by those and this is nothing like those bubbly ghost lather makers)... This soap is certainly low profile and doesn't build like you'd expect.

For the shave, honestly I wasn't amazed. It was fine. The only thing noticeable was residual slickness... definitely top score for that. But I wouldn't say it gets great marks for comfort, which is an important parameter for me.

Post shave, again, not remarkable.

This was my first shave with this or any GN soap. Subject to 180.

Exotic Elemi (Meißner Tremonia) pickling spices
Shave 6 ・ 87 g left

If the wind’s blowing just right, I can almost convince myself that this Exotic Elemi smells like a fougère. It’s got a weird wood and herb vibe coupled with something lemony and lots of peppery bits. Not my favorite fragrance, but still good for a change, and it pairs up with a good fougère cologne pretty well.

I have tried Russian soap several times. At the moment I do not have a single can of Russian soap. I doubt very much about the ingredients that are in their composition. I think they are cheap Chinese products. There are simply no others here. I'll tell you more. In my collection there is not a single thing made in Russia at all (not even bowls and towels). Well , only Gillette blades ... But they can hardly be called Russian . They are made in my city. But the P&G plant has nothing to do with Russia.
