I have noticed this with the current formula of DRH soap... the lather gets better on subsequent passes. (Starts a bit thin on the first pass and anxiety rises a bit (memories of bad GFT and Penhaligon's arise)... But all is well.)
Not sure that's exactly how MT goes, but thought I'd mention a similar phenomenon. (I've had a couple MT soaps but it's been a long time and they have a different formula for pretty much every soap scent.)

It cost over $1000 less than a new release from another soap maker ( Think glass Container with a corked top) and 1/2 of an almond size gave me enough lather for a 3 pass shave plus a lot of extra to share. Great cushion and slickness for my Gillette single ring to get BBS. Left with a soft, non greasy post shave feel.
Haha, that made me laugh.

I love the label on this tub. Phoenix and Beau make one of my all time favorite scents in Spitfire so I picked up a couple of others to see what that was all about. As a guy who used to spend three weeks each year in the Alaska backcountry a scent named Borealis was interesting to say the least. The scent touts pine, fir, tangerine, frankincense, allspice, and anise. Pine and fir I get but the others just seem to muddle up the picture. The scent is pleasant mind you but it is not “boreal forest with the northern lights dancing on a winters night”. I’d have liked a touch of menthol and birch tar and lose the tangerine and allspice. What I really like though is the label which leads me to watch the light display through the top of the black spruce on a black night. Next time remind me to put just a touch of menthol on the puck when I load up.
