Very nice shave and silky post. I can't pin down where it's coming from, but I get a creamy note in the scent to go along with the green, cool notes. Definitely unique.
You had me thinking on the Creamy note and only two things I think it could possibly be. First is sometimes when Im adding the Sheep’s milk if the temps to high I can smell a creamy milky note but usually that disappears with the addition of the Essential oil blend but maybe you have a better nose than me and you can pick it up still. 2nd and only other thing I can think of is the Cederwood Absolute is completely different than any regular Cederwood Essential oil I’ve smelled and it does have a very smooth rich note that maybe when mixed with the other aroma ingredients along with the sheep milk is creating the creamy note your smelling. I’m going to have to pull mine out when I get to work tomorrow and give it a good whiff and see if I pick it up as it certainly wasn’t intentional.
Thanks for the feedback.
Hey Frank, I was contemplating the same two things myself: either a milk/butter or one of the woods.
In any event, I like it!
It almost has a chocolatey creaminess (but, hold the chocolate), if that makes sense. So yeah, one of the butters/milks.
And I get creaminess from DRH Marlborough, which is woods.
As well, I see more F base is my future!
Thank you for the insight and feedback. I pretty sure it’s coming from the Cederwood Absolute as I opened a bottle of it right after opening the jar of Lost Souls and I can smell it clearly and I still think there’s a little bit of a creamy scent from the Sheep milk but it’s way in the background. Now I’ll have to smell it again for the chocolate note you pointed out. I swear no Hershey bar was added! Lol
I think I need to make you a custom Pure F Base Eucalyptus Shave soap. An I’ve got 3 different ones in my library with one being by far my favorite which is Eucalyptus Absolute 50% . It’s a got notes of Blue Cypress, Black Currant, Fir Balsam and Juniper Berries in and maybe a bit of Cypress. Honestly it’s so good it would almost be adulteress to mix it with anything else although it would blend magnificently with other essential oils I can think of also. I’ve wanted to do a Eucalyptus but some soap making friends tell me it won’t sell. Kind of reminds me what they said about Peppermint to.
Next time I make a F Base soap I’ll pull a little out before adding the aroma blend and put some of the Eucalyptus 50% in a sample jar and get it to you. It may make you feel better after that terrible fall you took! Hope your bouncing back sir

Indian Flavour Cream (Meißner Tremonia) mint chutney
Shave 3 ・ 180 g left
This cream version of Meißner Tremonia’s Indian Flavour is much cooler than its hard soap counterpart. The peppermint really stands out in this softer, wetter base. This morning I felt the chill within a few seconds, and it just kept building. Not a bad way to wake up and shake the sand from your eyes.

Very kind of your offer to send a sample, I'd love it.
And thanks for the good wishes. I'm starting to feel better little by little. Every time I go to a new doc or get another test, I find out the damage was worse than we had thought, but I'm making progress. Funny to know where I started from.
Used ETHOS Vanilla tonight in my beautiful shave bowl. It cost over $1000 less than a new release from another soap maker ( Think glass Container with a corked top) and 1/2 of an almond size gave me enough lather for a 3 pass shave plus a lot of extra to share. Great cushion and slickness for my Gillette single ring to get BBS. Left with a soft, non greasy post shave feel.
