D.R. Harris - Eucalyptus cream
Went bare bones today, friends. No brush and no traditional blade. Just some wet palms and a Sensor Excel. Excellent anyway, just need to apply the same principles. Get the lather wet enough. Shave somewhat carefully, and (obviously) pay attention to hair grain direction.
Finished with Pitralon Classic.

Today, not only did I shave in spirit... I almost became a spirit this morning.
As much pain and discomfort that I'm in, I'm counting my blessings.
Caught unbelievable speed on a steep pitch and turned sideways to try to shed some speed before hitting a lip on the slope. Next I knew I was paragliding off the face of the slope at mach 3 - sideways - and when I came back down to earth after several seconds and many vertical feet, my lower back "broke my fall". Then got sent off another lip and a monster yard sale (skis and poles everywhere, racing me down the steep pitch) and slid down the pitch for another 60 yards just in ski boots.
Not only have I never done that, I've never seen one half this intense or of that distance and duration.
All of that was right next to the treeline, so as I said, I'm counting my blessings. Easily could have had many more complications...or worse.
Had to get tobogganed down to the base. Couldn't stand up.
Got to the ER and diagnosed with a compression fracture at my second lumbar. Serious pain at the ribcage and right leg.
Stomach was upset all day from the trauma (or concussion possibly) so didn't eat anything or take anything for the pain till 8.5 hours later. Just Ibuprofen. Won't even get the hydrocodone prescription filled. Nurse just wouldn't shut up till I took the paper from her. Whole other topic.
If I shaved today, it would have been AOS Rose Absolute. But unfortunately, I can't lean over the sink or barely raise my right arm. Still counting blessings.
Cheers

I’m falling into a beautiful rhythm here. Barrister & Mann’s Cool, a newly replated Fat Handle Tech, and a splash of icy blue Aqua Velva all go together so well. Everything was affordable and everything worked like a charm. And best of all, everything formed a perfect backdrop for a few more chapters of The Big Sleep (1939). This is classic shaving at its best.
