Ohhhhhhh, that’s a Strawberry Amber there!
Yes Robby. I chased on of these for 7 years! Turns out Ken told me they are not easy to work with making them less commonly offered. I never seemed quick enough when they dropped. For me this is my favorite paladin material. That and the ebonite.

CK-6 is a performer! This is truly a December Soap, it is NOT Bay Rum… Sweet Cinnamon Gingerbread Cookie for SURE.  Smells EXACTLY like Voortmans or Archway Windmill Cookies! (cinnamon, nutmeg, coriander, mace, cloves, allspice, ginger, cardamom)

Gourmand to the max here.  It’s fantastic if you like Gingerbread Cookie Schmells, and if you don’t like Gingerbread Cookie Smell, go back to Grinch-Land
Love that base Rob

Along with the lavender and citrus, there’s a pinch of spice and something nutty or maybe woody in Cool. I’m told it smells a lot like Floïd Blu, but I’ve never sniffed that, so I can’t say. At any rate, it’s been discontinued for years now. In place of that classic barbershop scent,  I’ve been splashing an equally venerable aftershave, Aqua Velva Ice Blue. The color’s right even if the scent may be a little different. It all goes down very well with today’s new book, The Big Sleep by Raymond Chandler, one of best pieces of American crime fiction ever written.

Bouki, the movie made from that book is one of my all-time favorites. It is likely you have seen it.  Starring Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall and featuring a screenplay partially written by William Faulkner, the movie does not follow the book exactly.  Actually, the book helped me to fill in the gaps in the film.  In one scene, Marlowe goes to the home of the wealthy invalid, General Sternwood, to discuss the assignment.  I strongly suspect that the evocative dialog in this scene was written by Faulkner.

A week before Christmas - you know, the time to start thinking about what to buy.  Certainly not the time to start panicking, eh?  Even if it was that time, the Kasbah scent is perfect for calming the nerves

Nowhere near my preferred literary genre BUT some works are intrinsically exemplary, deserving special regard.  The Bogart movie as well was one of his very very best.  Wonderful trip into Noir Movie Americana - which is a favourite.
