I have enjoyed the South Padre AS for a few years now and decided to order a tub of the soap when i saw it on sale last week. Today probably wasn't the best day to use it as I was in a big hurry and didn't have the time to generate a better lather. Lather time doesn't seem to matter too much as even a quick Stirling lather provides good cushion and slickness

Along with the lavender and citrus, there’s a pinch of spice and something nutty or maybe woody in Cool. I’m told it smells a lot like Floïd Blu, but I’ve never sniffed that, so I can’t say. At any rate, it’s been discontinued for years now. In place of that classic barbershop scent, I’ve been splashing an equally venerable aftershave, Aqua Velva Ice Blue. The color’s right even if the scent may be a little different. It all goes down very well with today’s new book, The Big Sleep by Raymond Chandler, one of best pieces of American crime fiction ever written.

As you know I really enjoy the scent of this soap with its sulphur note pointing to “hot springs”. With the slight kiss of menthol though! Wow, I was on a pair of skis, on the edge of a steaming springs. The breeze pushing that odiferous cloud over the top of me and filling my lungs with the warm steam infused with sulfur. But then the breeze changes direction, the cloud leaves, and I’m standing in the very brisk air, cheeks dewy from having been “vaporized”, and the bracing feel of wet skin in icy conditions hits me. That’s the image that was playing in my brain during this mornings shave. I breathed deeply and finished my second pass with a great big ol grin.Like reading a passage from a book!
….and I’m really ready to ski too

I said I was done with the Eucris but darned if I don’t like the scent and man I love loading from a puck so……I grated it and combined it with a lump of Doms Sir Henrys No.13 unscented ive had kicking around for years. The Sir Henrys is pliable like old playdoh so I worked the Eucris soap curls into it as I wet me fingers to add a bit of moisture. I added about half and half and when I was done grating and kneading I had a lime sized lump of soap about the consistency of Silly Putty with the scent of Eucris. Well sirs, Dom saved the day. Zero scent off the old No.13 and it’s amazing performance added to the amazing scent of the Trumpers with its crummy performance and brother let me tell you, I am in business. It was always slick but had zero cushion. The Sir Henrys supplied that and more. So now I have no idea what to call it. Sir -Trumpers or Geo. F. Henrys? Perhaps No.13 Eucris? So glad I get to use the scent but still miffed at Trumpers to tell me “we have had few others complain of performance issues.” I’m not Jolene’s brightest boy by a far piece but come on man, anyone who owns a brush can tell you trumpers hard soaps are junk. That brush…it’s beautiful, get BABY out of that corner!
CK-6 is a performer! This is truly a December Soap, it is NOT Bay Rum… Sweet Cinnamon Gingerbread Cookie for SURE. Smells EXACTLY like Voortmans or Archway Windmill Cookies! (cinnamon, nutmeg, coriander, mace, cloves, allspice, ginger, cardamom)
Gourmand to the max here. It’s fantastic if you like Gingerbread Cookie Schmells, and if you don’t like Gingerbread Cookie Smell, go back to Grinch-Land

This is a very nice scent, and peony might be my new favorite flower. There is a bit of a burn during the shave, just being honest. But as soon as you rinse, it's gone... And the post shave is a definite WOW.
Excuse me, I intended to write more, but I have some faceturbating to do ...
Goin tomorrow, can't wait! Gotta shred some PTO.
