What soap/cream did you use today?

The fact that MDC doesn't make an EDT of this scent is a crime. And then, who would stock it in the US? Took forever for anyone to carry their soap.
It would also be great to know the actual fragrance notes list.

100% agree! Been saying that for years as it’s my favorite Fougere scent in a shave soap and it needs a matching aftershave. About a year and a half ago ( for selfish reasons ) I decided to try and get as close as I could to duplicating the blend and I’m about 90% there but there’s a sweetnesses in the MDC scent that has me stumped. It would make things much easier if the notes were listed.  I’m going to write them an email and ask just for the heck of it and see if they will share that info and then I’ll make one.

I believe there is some rose in there for the sweetness.
In fact, I'm pretty sure you'd get pretty close to their Fougère by combining all their other soap scents into one.

You wanna talk about a stinker!  Well here’s your oyster!  With a scent profile including things like motor oil, leather, gun cleaner, birch tar etc you know it’s going to smell like a shop rag.  I’ve always been interested but the scents seemed to eclectic, and the name too “back alley” to expect it not to be so hyper masculine as to become a joke.  Awhile back I got a little sampler of the aftershave in a trade I’d worked out with a fella and surprise! I liked it.  I mean I really truly enjoyed this scent so now I have full sized of the whole shebang.  Is it masculine?  Let’s just say my shirt won’t button across the chest.  Is it delicious?  Nope, it smells of gun cleaner and motor oil and birch tar.  But who ever mixed this scent did so masterfully and added enough Cade, oak moss, vanilla, citrus, to take the harsh edges away and gents, it is glorious.  Who would have thunk it?  I enjoy this stinker more than Salters dirty French Vetiver.  The name Stag though will tell you all you need to know about it’s prowess to woo the ladies however.  I know I’m going stag when I roll this one out and I’ll keep the Creed scents around for the lady.

Careful Alec!

I posted a month, or so, ago about how long my  Ethos Lavender is lasting. Well, I'm still on the first tub, using it quite often, & I still have many shaves remaining. Stellar in every category is Ethos Lavender! My soap today? Ethos Lavender.
