Vétyver 2017 (Martin de Candre)

I’m half way through my Soap of the Book experiment, and one thing is becoming clear. A lot of the pleasure in wet shaving stems from trying something new each day. Stick with a soap too long, and at best you start to ignore it. At worst you start to detest it. So I’m going off
Leviathan for a spell, not that I dislike it, but I may be slipping in that direction. That warm sugary note really irks me after a while. In its place I may visit some of my favorite vetivers. None of them is too sweet. Most just offer a speck of citrus to liven up the grassy notes. One of the best is this ancient but still remarkable jar of Martin de Candre
Vétyver.
