Eucris Cream (Geo. F. Trumper) cologne from the crypt
Shave 1 ・ 100% left

Eucris is about the creepiest smelling cream I own. Dark? Like sin. Strong? It can cover a thousand virtues. Pleasant? I have to confess, once or twice a year, it perfectly suits me. Today, for instance, I started my lather just as the sun drooped behind the mountains and a dusky haze rose up out of the jungle. From the bathroom window I watched as the evening clouds turned pink, then orange, and finally blood red. It was gorgeous display and unusually brilliant. When I glanced outside once more, I thought I saw something odd – a swirling cloud of sand glittering in the twilight. I hadn’t ever noticed anything like that before, at least not since I was in Bucharest. The wind had fallen, and it was perfectly quiet. I couldn't explain the movement I saw, so I flipped off my light and studied the fading outlines of the ironwoods and screwpines. Out of the silence and the shadows a large, long, rectangular form slowly took shape. It was followed by a grating sound and a glint of red light in the undergrowth. What's this? Kids carrying their boards to beach? Not at this time of day. Boars rummaging in the bush? No, they make an infernal din. Then as I peered into the deepening murk, I could almost discern a manlike form garbed in a dark suit that was far too warm for this climate. He stood perfectly upright as if his back was stiffened with iron or age. In his hand he held a gleaming cutthroat, and on the lid of his box – if I'm not mistaken – I could just make out a brimming, black bowl of Eucris. He looked at me and bowed slightly as if he recognized in me a fellow pognotomist. Then, quite suddenly, his expression changed. The smile was replace by a leering look, and he reminded me of nothing more than a cat who's ready to fasten its claws on its prey. I slammed down the shutters, reached for the light switch, and peeked over my shoulder just to be certain I was still alone. (Can't trust your mirror in a situation like this.) In little while I'll regain my composure, but you know when it’s fully dark and the sound of knocking is heard up and down the street, I won’t be the one who runs for the door with the basket of candy. I have every expectation of being greeted there by one finely groomed vampyre.

I know this cream is super stout but I’ll be hanged if it’s not one of the scents that has yet to return post Covid and my friends, that is a crying shame.  It’s so mild now to be all but be unscented.  Hope there is a time coming when I can once again love its stank.

Well now I won’t sleep!  And Bouki, I’m not sure I care for Eucris anymore.

Brother Ripper, it's breaks my heart to hear of this. That's a fine soap, and generally it give me a very good shave. But we both know it's not the shaving we're after when we twist the lid off a tub of French Vetiver. It's the reek that draws us in at first and keeps us coming back. I hope your nose mends soon.
