The shaves go really well all around using ck6 but more importantly, I can’t tell you how much the scent makes me enjoy my time shaving. Cheers everyoneAgree, definitely a super scent!
I’ve been sorting though the hoard and at the back of a cupboard I found this mason jar of…..ARKO. I got it early on when I got back into traditional shaving and was still “saving money”. In fact at the time there were very few options for soaps. Williams and ARKO were the budget stalwarts and some European and British makers were still cooking soaps but those were expensive. Stirling was probably just a year or so old. I had no idea there were shaving forums and so I used ARKO, William, and Van der Hagen and enjoyed myself and my shaves. A lot of artisans have come and gone and it’s been probably three years since a brush has been on this soap. Today was the day. As stated, I didn’t know ARKO smelled like a urinal puck until I found the forums. In fact I still don’t know that it smells like that as I don’t spent time with my head I a urinal. What I do know is I don’t mind the more industrial smell and I got a great shave. Guess I won’t chuck it. And yes, the scent strength has mellowed.
