Barrister’s Reserve Fern t. (Barrister & Mann) Houbigant Fougère Royale (-ish)
Shave 6 ・ 96% left

This pot of Reserve got it’s twenty-five swirls, just as Will directed. I came away with enough lather for at least four passes. It soaked up all the water I could give it. Finally I just got tired of going to the tap. It wasn’t the closest shave I’ve ever had, but that’s due to the razor. The Merkur 42 is about as mild as a butter knife, but it’s a good razor for those times when you want to give your skin a break.

Intesa

Italian mass-market brand dedicated to men care.

This has been one of my favorite scents since highschool. Long standing relationship. Back in the day there was no shaving cream in their product range. The deodorant spray was their flagship product, which I enjoyed quite a lot. There were however some shaving items in the range i.e. canned foam which still can be seen on supermarket shelves and aftershave splash. The cream in a tube was introduced just recently i.e. 2019.

The cream shares the classic scent DNA of the brand (unfortunately I don't have the ability to describe scents). It provides optimal lubrication and protection, absolutely no problems there. Doesn't dry up easily and remains properly hydrated for a long relaxed pass. Post shave is particularly good, the skin feels soft and silkish. It sells for about $ 2.5 in Italy and across the wider region through some online cosmetics retailers.

This cream always gives me a feeling of well being.
