What soap/cream did you use today?

Asylum Royal Fougère shaving soap. Good but not great for me, so I am going to post it for sale and pass it on.

Well, I don’t smell tobacco in this soap either. What I smell is lots of leather and lots of carnation. It smells good, and it’s far milder that what I expected. Pairs well with Knize Ten.

No one ever talks about it but the scent was reworked like 5 years ago. Became brighter and more likable/palatable, less harsh and less controversial.

Btw, is your Original the tallow or vegan?

The label on the box says it's tallow. I also bought a refill. That too says it's tallow. But the refill is a lighter, harder soap. The puck in the glass jar is sort of yellowish and a bit softer. Don't know if that one's just old, or if I got two different formulations. I guess I'll find out in about five years after I work my way through the soap in the jar.
