What soap/cream did you use today?

Smells like a menthol-mango cough drop. The tobacco is totally lost on me. The lather is fine, though on the lean side. Two passes is all I dared. That was enough to leave me clean and smooth.

I’ve finally chewed through 600 grams of soap this year. In the three months remaining, I may get through another 200. Sounds like a lot until I remember I’ve accumulated over 7,000 grams of new soap since January. This hobby’s like an afternoon at the library book sale. You can pick up more stuff in a couple hours than you can use in a lifetime.

Tallow creaminess in a 12 dollar pick. Scent strength 9/10.... A honeyed tobacco - very yummiest to the old Haslinger Honey [tallow]

Pairs well with Sant Maria Novella Aqua di Cuba

Tommy, I think you're gonna be very happy. They have two (maybe three) formulas. But don't worry about it... the tallow might be best, but not by much, if at all. Just go with a scent you like, or ask me, I have 5 or 6.

Nero-got on line and bought the pine /cedar & unscented. Saw a rose that looked intriguing but that can be dangerous [granny could be lurking?]. How is their Sandalwood?

Nice! You'll like the Pine & Cedar for sure.

I have the Sandalwood & Myrrh, definitely has more myrrh and kinda light overall. Don't go for that if you're looking for a sandalwood scent to blow your mind.

I'm going to retract/clarify this a bit... It's probably a 4.5 out of 10 on scent strength, and the scent is probably more of a "wood accord (using essential oils) with myrrh" than a "strict sandalwood and myrrh".

I just sniffed it and I like it more than I had portrayed.

It will be used soon... I just pulled out soaps that I need to use while it's still fall. Definitely this is in the list.

Well, I don’t smell tobacco in this soap either. What I smell is lots of leather and lots of carnation. It smells good, and it’s far milder that what I expected. Pairs well with Knize Ten.

You're spot on, Lipripper660! So far this year I've gobbled up the equivalent of 5.3 four-ounce pucks. Right now I'm cruising at 2.2 grams of soap per shave. And even at that thriftless rate, I have enough soap under the bed to last me another twenty years.

No one ever talks about it but the scent was reworked like 5 years ago. Became brighter and more likable/palatable, less harsh and less controversial.

Btw, is your Original the tallow or vegan?
