What soap/cream did you use today?

I like this one best from Oleo's scent line up. I don't know if it is inspired by some existing fragrance. According to my nose there might just be a bit of Aventus vibe to it but overall Empire has its own story. Performance is solid although this time I overloaded and got a pasty emulsion that I ended up not being able to give the level of hydration that I usually do to boost slickness. I purchased the tub about two years ago so in the meantime they might have changed the formula to make it even better.

REM when Bufflehead soaps were bringing in hundreds of dollars on secondary market? People would get upset when questioning the logic else the Market Gods wreak terror from the sky. World gone insane

The sweet, bright, floral lather turns very slick when it’s watered down good. I had a slight tingly sensation right after the shave. Don’t know it that was brought on by something in the soap or by the somewhat thinnish cushion. The post shave, though, is marvelous. I really like almond oil.

I hope I am not boring you boys with my weekly Tabac Saturday postings : it has become a vaunted habit that makes my personal barbershop old man hair removal day outstanding. My bathroom smells like a Kentucky barbershop!

TommyCarioca, please keep posting your shaves with Tabac. I enjoy your Saturday tradition. In fact, I've got a tub of the stuff coming in the mail Monday. Surely hope it's the tallow version. One quick question: besides the Tabac edt, what cologne goes well with Tabac's spicy-leathery-carnation fragrance?

I have struggled with a suitable pairing and have found nothing in my cabinet that meshes. I have tried powdery edts,...... . I have tried invasion barbare, a few tobacco based scents, and no luck with citruses Bouki. Glad you asked, hoping you can come up with something? I have been using it for 10 years with no solution for the post shave edt.

I use Tabac Cologne.  It lasts about 5 hrs.
