I Coloniali Mango

First day of fall and Dallas was actually under 60 degrees early this morn. Called for a nice early fall puck. Had a ghost shave - stuff is really slick. Not that easy to lather though - one has to load HEAVILY to get enough for 3 passes. Love the terracotta dish....... . Too bad she is extinct [Image: 65e3004fe02e99a320ffec0bb10af3e3.jpg]

I’m always amazed at how darn good Mystc Water Soap is. This was one nice shave this morning. My favourite Mystic Water scents have to be Windjammer and Adirondack Jack. I have not smelled them all  Big Grin

Sbandavapori by Spanish artisan Joserra. Good but nothing to write home about. I like the label artwork though, it looks like fun.[Image: cccfd8016fdf08ce473b8452526ccf86.jpg]

Zaharoff Signature scented soap this morning.  The soap is the cardinal base from Gentleman’s Nod.  I’ve always felt Gentleman’s Nod to be perhaps the classiest name for men’s grooming of all time!  I picture in my minds eye a well appointed man, perhaps wearing a watch he picked up from Dom at Romantique Jewelers, walking into a meeting and casting a nod to a trusted colleague.  He’s confident but not cocky.  He’s beautiful but not conceited.  He’s warm and inviting and an inspiration to others around him to “try a little harder” and that is the Gentleman’s Nod.  The image and branding of the company seems to envision the term much as I would and they do a pretty descent job of pulling that vibe off but alas, this is the only offering I own.  Zaharoff Signature is, or should I say was, a most classic type scent.  Manly and fresh.  The lather is on the deck in structure.  Really does look and feel like thinned out yogurt.  Slick as glass but in my case and water a bit weak on cushion.  The Blackbird felt a bit hot and I just knew this soap was not protecting me but post shave, the alum told a different tale.  Zero stinging again meaning the soap did do its job.  Amazing.  Very close two passes.
