What soap/cream did you use today?

What a great Sunday shave.  Miracle of miracles?  I lathered AOS Rose, an ancient tub that pre-Covid was just very lightly scented but oh what a scent.  Imagine my surprise when my Covid nose picked up…..Rose!  And not just a weak, faint, Emory of Rose but Rose stronger than it used to be.  I really enjoyed that excellent cream before, during, and amazingly post shave.  I could really get into that!

Lip, what are you saying? You can smell this soap better than you could before you were Covidized?

Exactly what I’m saying.  Texas on Fire is coming back but is very light.  This vintage rose cream smells stronger.  Hope my ability to sniff it continues to improve even while ToF becomes brash again.  I even got to wear Doms Black Velvet EdP to church today and enjoyed that.

Two Kings t. (Noble Otter) floral oud

I really enjoy Noble Otter’s lather. It’s dense, and when it’s well watered, it can be terrifically slick. I always get a painless shave with one of their soaps. The scents, too, can be enjoyable. Today’s Two Kings is a floral medley nestled in some mildish oud. It’s calm and relaxed. That’s the way with Noble Otter soaps. Clean but never flashy, they just sort of put your heart at ease. Oh, and the labels really are very nice. I wonder who does their artwork?
