Bay Rum t. (Barrister & Mann) spicy bay rum
Shave 13 ・ 79% left

My favorite bay rum cologne isn’t even a bay rum. What I’m trying to say is that after a great shave with Barrister & Mann’s Bay Rum soap, nothing suits quite so well as Hermès Vetiver Tonka. It provides all the sugary sweet rummy bits that most modern bay rums leave out, and then dries down to a creamy tobacco with a twist of vetiver. It may a bit much in high summer, but in football weather, it goes down perfect.

Balatoni Szappan - Marco Polo
(Hungarian artisan)

Could easily play first league if scouters spotted it. Excellent rich slick protective lather, stays well hydrated long enough to complete a slow relaxed worry-free Sunday morning pass. The scent is a quite enjoyable floral (at least to my nose), although I was expecting something in the aquatic realm as suggested by the name and the label artwork.[Image: 45c01dfc6a551676f86337980f17512c.jpg]

Wow, what a nice label they have, too!

Nice review. I have never even heard of this brand. Sounds like it's worth checking out. Thanks!

What a great Sunday shave.  Miracle of miracles?  I lathered AOS Rose, an ancient tub that pre-Covid was just very lightly scented but oh what a scent.  Imagine my surprise when my Covid nose picked up…..Rose!  And not just a weak, faint, Emory of Rose but Rose stronger than it used to be.  I really enjoyed that excellent cream before, during, and amazingly post shave.  I could really get into that!
