What soap/cream did you use today?

Derby. Turkish. Slick, gets the job done. Scent wise, as you probably already know the smell is not for the faint hearted. Being indifferent about this scent, let alone liking it, is actually a matter of bravery and manhood. Real men don't care about scent. I'm barely tolerating the smell, guess that makes me half man.

Of all the variables that go into a good shave, the one that makes the most difference to me is the soap. If I can get a thick protective lather between me and the blade, then the razor, the blade it bears, the pre-shave, and the post-shave, and all the other bits and pieces just fall into place. And if I want the thickest, most protective lather, nothing tops the old Valobra tallow soaps. They have a wonderful unctuous feel that allows for a close, slick shave. At the same time they guard the skin against nicks and abrasions better than just about anything else. And luckily, they wear like iron.

Ethos Grooming Honeysuckle [custom blend]

Beautiful smelling and performing lather - a custom blend Frank created that is not too sweet and captures the beauty of the honeysuckle blossom. More often all previous versions of this flower are obviously synthetic or are way too heavy and 'perfumy'. This version is natural and it is 'real' suckle. It is so nice and instantly throws me back to kentucky and the large suckle bushes under my window as a boy. I was lucky to score the edp as well!

Thanks Frank and we are all waiting on your AOS Sandalwood /Fine Santal version. And keep cranking the F base out. Face latherers out here are loving it.
