I like it almost as much as the original Acqua di Parma Colonia. To my old nose the DFS Colonia has just as much wonderful scent, and the lather is nearly as rich and thick.

A&E Summer Fig

Nice low profile slick lather. Sweet floral dig with minor bits of green. Thanks to Nero, for another base I need to insert in the rotation. Saturday is usually saved for Tabac!

Such a wonderful scent!  The florals really came through more heavily for me during the shave.  I ended up pairing this with the new Declaration Grooming Sunrise on Lasalle

If you like Terre D’Hermes, you will definitely like Fine’s take on this classic. Good stuff…….

Fine Accoutrements - Barber Blue (21st Century)

Really dig this take on Floid Blu. The orange and orange peel really come through. Beautifully done.

Nero, I see why you sleep with the windows closed. Might make me want to do my grilling inside, under the broiler.

Shave 24 ・ 73% left

Last night, unable to sleep, I watched shaving videos on YouTube and saw something I’d never seen before (imagine that). The shaver (whose name escapes me now) hydrated his lather by misting it down with a spritz bottle. Brilliant! I had to try the same thing. Only problem was I didn’t have an empty spritz bottle. But I did have a bottle of rose water with a misty pump installed, so that’s what I used. Yeah the lather was heavenly, but the smell was more than divine. Oud and rose are a sublime pair, and I came away from that shave smelling like I had just come down from the great supracelestial hammam in the sky.
