Still chipping away at this Spitfire. It’s finally starting to loosen up. After five years in the tub, it had dried out and got leathery. Loading was a chore. But now, after a week of lathers, it’s softened up. Getting a brush full of soap is no longer a problem. The lathers are much improved, too – much richer and slicker than at first. Looks like there’s enough soap to get me through the end of this month. I know it kind of goes against the spirit of this thread to use the same soap day after day, but there’s also something to be said for sticking with one tub until you’ve got it working well for you.

Slap this Royal Fougère around your face for a little while and you’ll feel like you’ve just come home from roaming the green fields with ivy leaves in your hair, flushed and confident.

Vinas de Uquia Vineyard, extreme NW corner of ARG.  Look right under Bolivia not quite bordering Chile. I think it’s the highest altitude Vineyard on the globe at 3700 above sea. Claudio uses the mining caves of his ancestors as cellars.  Drinking Wine and low oxygen levels up there leads to lots of laughter; September 22 is the first day of Spring, let the Malbec games begin!

Actually not but still quite picturesque
Which part Mr Law?
The only part I’m unsure about Claudio’s Vineyard is it being the highest altitude vineyard on the globe, the rest, I stand firm!

Altitude. Surprising the ability to produce wine yielding grapes at altitude albeit quality another matter (and subjective).

Loaded from a dry puck with a slightly damp 26mm synthetic knot for somewhere between 5 and 10 seconds.  It was more than enough for 3 passes plus cleanup on a 48-hour growth. Such a great soap...
