Of all the wonderful concoctions that have come out of the Barrister & Mann workshops, I don’t think anything rivals the soaps of the now defunct Latha line. For the practical shaver as well as for the pogonotomic gourmand, these budget friendly soaps are always interesting, easy to use, and satisfying. I love all the scents in this line, but my favorite by far is this Petit Chypre. For a chypre, it's still quite simple and a little raw, but it’s perfectly delightful. I love it so much, in fact, that I don’t use it. It just sits on its pedestal and receives my adoration from afar. Maybe that should change. Paired with a Gem Junior, today it gave me one of the most comfortable three-pass shaves I’ve had in years.
