He calls it Badger Synth.  Very dense knot with a lot of backbone.

Still the best lavender I’ve ever smelled in a shaving soap, and still one of the best lathers on the planet. This soap is over five years old, but it smells and performs like it's brand new. I used to skimp when I loaded it, using less than a gram per shave. I wanted to make it last, and boy, was I ever successful. Now, though, it's time to dig for the bottom of this tin. Greedy full loads are the rule from now on, since this lather will easily support a three-pass shave.

Home brew mix of these various soaps.  The Panama helped tame the scent and up the slick of the VDH mix....
