What soap/cream did you use today?

Have you ever lost a soap?  This morning I had every intention of using Mitchell’s Wool Fat and grabbed the coffrit it resides in but when I removed the lid to apply my brush a puck of L’Occitane Cade stared back at me.  I do live Cade so it was my jam this morning and was wonderful!  Sunny Juniper!  So good.  Creamy and slick and post is great.  But the Fat!  I found it in the back of the cupboard in a Mitchell’s Dish.  Forgotten I had even bought that.  So many choice, so much memory loss.  Hahahaha.

It finally happened. I gave myself a full pass without a blade. I was so caught up in making a perfect lather I forgot to put the Astra into the Tech. It was gorgeous lather, something HoosierShave would have given me a merit badge for. And when I made that first bladeless pass, I was really congratulating myself for having finally made a world-class lather. Just as smooth and slick as silk, it fell away in ribbons like I was slicing the peel off a papaya. Then I noticed the stubble on my chin. I tried buffing, but it wouldn’t budge. Only then did it dawn on me that I had overlooked an important step. I put the blade in. Passes two and three were more efficient, but humbling.
