I couldn't decide what to use today, so back to this one. I like this set more and more each time I use it.

Gingers Garden Grapefruit and Yuzu soap, AFS, lotion

Best two grapefruits in the biz: GG and ethos agrumes

This is an underrated tallow puck- pretty hard now, with a nice bitter yuzu twang. Her AFS is not for the boys who dislike a HEAVY rather oily post/sheen. My skin absorbs this quickly and appreciates the moisturizing content.

This one is worth a try boys

West Indian Limes Cream v. (Truefitt & Hill) musky lime
Shave 2 ・ 93% left

One year ago I started weighing my soaps. Peculiar? Perhaps, but I wanted to figure out how much I was really using, and I also wanted to know when I could expect to run out. So, after each shave, I let the puck dry for a day, and then I popped it on the scale. What did I learn?

Well, over the course of 12 months, I used about 650 grams of soap. Sounds like a lot when you count it that way, but reckoning that most artisans sell their soap in 113 g containers, that’s only 5¾ jars of soap, not even half a jar of soap per month. Punier still, on average I used merely 1.7 grams each day. Heres the hitch: there are currently over 15,500 grams of soap in my hoard. My shelves creak and groan under the weight of 150 jars of shaving soap. The math tells me that my heap will keep me well lathered for the next 23 years. Yeah, thats right, 23 years of shaving soap! Im good until the year 2044.

I thought I might be able to cull some soaps from the herd, but fact is, I like them all, and there are more on the way. And so this venture into wet shaving continues on its abnormal course, while the gross mass of my soaps spirals ever upwards. What began as an innocent effort to replace a rusty can of Barbasol has taken on a viral life of its own. Luckily, its all good clean fun, and I thank all of you who have aided and abetted along the way. So what about today’s West Indian Limes cream? It’s going to stay in the collection. I like keeping some old-timey fragrances around. (But I still think it smells like an executive washroom.)
