What soap/cream did you use today?

Sebum purple. I really struggled to get any kind of lather. I still get some slickness and have had great shaves, but no lather. I’m going to get a cheap synthetic and see whether that makes a difference.

This is not your typical bay rum. True, there’s some pimenta racemosa in the mix, but first and foremost, Slåtterøy smells like oranges and spices. The thing is, there’s no orange oil listed in the ingredients. Instead I find key lime and lemon. Tricky things those citrus scents. Takes a nose better than mine to tell them apart sometimes. There’s also a good pinch of coriander and a handful of cedar shavings. Like I said, this is an unusual bay rum, but I love it.

GD Encens Agrumes

Sunday morning shave.  Very enjoyable shave but it’s so darn hot and humid out I probably should have used B&M Terror and Peppermint Bath soap. 
Can’t wait till Fall.

Gingers Garden Grapefruit and Yuzu soap, AFS, lotion

Best two grapefruits in the biz: GG and ethos agrumes

This is an underrated tallow puck- pretty hard now, with a nice bitter yuzu twang. Her AFS is not for the boys who dislike a HEAVY rather oily post/sheen. My skin absorbs this quickly and appreciates the moisturizing content.

This one is worth a try boys
