I’ve had this tin of soap for a year now, and for the first time I’m picking up a solid vetiver note. It’s always been there, but it’s been crouching under the sagebrush and soda. Thankfully, those notes have calmed down now, and I’m getting that nice grassy tang vetiver is renowned for. Joy at last. I also followed Nero’s example as I loaded today: my drenched synth got only one shake and time for a few dribbles. Then it was straight to the tin, where I loaded with a reckless lack of restraint. What did I get? I huge heap of lather that covered not only my face, but also the walls, the sink, and the blinds. Now I’ve got a well shaved chin and a much cleaner bath. Life’s grand.

I found out yesterday that 80 percent of the garlic used in the USA comes from China.  As an old farm kid, and a careful adult, I'm not sure how I feel about that right yet.  My badger knot came from China but my soap came from Italy. My razor from Germany (but probably China) and my blade from the USA.  Oh boy that Valobra made AOS Sandalwood pleases me!

Finally! The "six gotta finish 'em" soaps are said and done.  As happy as I am to have finished six soaps this year, it became more of a chore to do so.  Maybe I'll try it again in the future but for now, i'm going to enjoy some variety Smile

BTW, a couple of the "finished" soaps have already been re-purchased...Mike's Vetiver & Bay Rum.  Since those two refill pucks aren't always available on his site, I snagged one as soon as they became available.  Chances are highly likely that a couple more will be re-purchased in the future...Forest City Fern and Darkfall.  Finally, the last two probably won't grace the den again anytime soon...MW Windjammer and Shannon's Lit .  Both are nice scents and the soap bases are fantastic but I don't have any strong desire to re-purchase either.
