Yeah I know.  I shaved clear this morning and just now get to post it.  The kid brought over something new to try and wow did I like it!  Declaration Yuzu Rose Patchouli. Off the puck it should be Patchouli Rose Yuzu because that’s what I smelled but upon lathering that tart citrus comes front and center with Rose and patchouli doing a tango in the background.  The aftershave really showed this scent well.  Is it a scent I wish I had in a parfum?  Nope, I’ll leave that arena to other scents like Sir Henry’s Black Velvet! But for a bright morning shave this is par excellence.  Low structure, slick, plump finish. Scent is gone post shave.  Very nice indeed.[Image: Y8HPPUt.jpg]

Stone Cottage Soapworks Inc. - Balsam Fir (Premium Shaving Cream)

I know it's a cream, but you'd still need to hit this. Slick as anything gets. Ghost blade. Not even the slightest hint of visual or sensory irritation.

Lime Fresh Cream v. (Godrej) musky lime
Shave 1 ・ 96% left

Look at the tube. See ‘Cinthol’? I thought that might mean ‘synthetic menthol’, so I was looking forward to a good chill with this bright green cream. But as I lathered up today, I noticed that things never got cooler than lukewarm. What gives? A little research informed me that ‘Cinthol’ is in fact a mash up of ‘synthetic’ and ‘phenol’, the antiseptic. The name was coined by Pirojsha Godrej, the founder of Cinthol, for his brand of germicidal soaps. So, alas, no menthol here. This was my first outing with Godrej Lime Fresh, and it went well. A lot of cream made an even, low-structure lather that led to a splendid 1½-pass shave. Wondering about the fragrance? It’s a simple lime, fairly bright and softened with a dab of musk. All in all, a very nice shave. The only thing it lacked was a squirt of menthol. Maybe I can help it out next time with a few Frost Drops.

Super slick and super awesome scent!

Honestly, I'm surprised no artisan has tried to recreate this scent.  After Fine announced they were discontinuing Santal Absolut, it seemed like the community was in an uproar, especially regarding SA.  I thought for sure someone would try to recreate it.  Unfortunately for me, I didn't find out about the discontinuation until it was too late and vendors were all sold out.  So I purchased tub of AoS Sandalwood to continue enjoying the scent.  Once my 1/2 bottle of SA is gone, i'll have to find something else to pair with the AoS cream
