HoosierShave, it breaks my heart to see a Salter cream turn out such a wimpy lather. But to be honest, I've seen it before. I got a jug of French Vetiver last year that looks sort of like yours. I was pretty old and pretty dried out. Loading from it was troublesome. Lather was subpar. What to do? You may want to give the contents of your jar a good stir and maybe even add a drop or two of water until you get a proper cream. That may improve your loading and lather building. Nowadays my tub gives me an excellent thick lather. I hope yours revives too.

This is a nice powdery scent, quite light and inoffensive. It is a mix of some opulent ingredients including vanilla, talc, and cognac (and many many more). There's a whole lot going on, but it blends quite well. [Image: b66bac13569d9c48f8990073954473b6.jpg]

Ouroboros is an amazing scent although it might be a bit heavy for these hot days we’ve had.  Look gents, I’m living with a menopausal woman and the room we share is cold enough to hang meat!  I honestly have a wool watch Cap I wear at night to ward off hypothermia so with that in mind, perhaps colder weather scents work well for me.

LOL. I am and have been right there with you. I sleep with a nightcap and full pjs+socks. Our dogs try to get under the covers. I think menopause is tougher for the husbands. Can I say that these days! .

Ethos Colonia

Great fragrance - I seriously think the only delta with the original ADP Colonia may be the powdery note I get with the Italian stuff. Very slick - I am terrible with creams though. Can't wait for the F base. [Image: 0f9ad6475aa75737b8a351199b783b53.jpg]

Neroli & Black Pepper t. (Asylum Shave Works) honey floral
Shave 4 ・ 97% left

I took a whiff of the tin and almost sent this one down to the minor leagues. Straight off the puck the pepper is way too strong. Lather it up, though, and the spice melts right into the neroli, making a soft honey-like scent. Nothing but sweetness and light. And that lather? Great beans! If you like it thick and oily and super protective, you’ve got a treat in store with this one. Neroli & Black Pepper will definitely keep running with the herd.

Razor note: taking some advice from Lipripper660 (and his son), I put a solid-bar B plate on the Christopher Bradley. What a smooth ride. Efficient, too. But the Astra blades just weren’t sharp enough for this set up. I dropped in a Nacet and what a difference that made. Sweet glide, no tugging, perfectly smooth.

Thanks for the tip Bouki!  I will certainly give that a try before using it again.  The scent is so good I can't leave this one sitting on the sidelines too long Smile
