I remember the first time I used a Semogue boar brush and was surprised that it bloomed like a badger. That lead to the purchase of an Owners Club which I thought was the pinnacle of boar. It probably was at the time but there are several premium boars available now that best it. Why not write this in what brush did I use today? Because I find some soaps are finicky and don’t play well with boar. DR Harris is not one of them. It lathers great with whatever brush I take to it. Good stuff.
Mike's Orange, Cedarwood, and Black Pepper. Even loading heavy, I don't think this sample puck is diminishing. A full-sized tub has gotta last just shy of forever. I spent a little extra time building the lather this morning. You can really throw some water at this stuff, and it keeps getting better.
Spearhead Seaforth! Sea Spice Lime Shaving Soap
"The scent for Sea Spice Lime was developed by Shawn Maher of Chatillon Lux and Maher Olfactive. It is both hearty and utterly refreshing. A juicy lime accord is at the heart of the fragrance with the froth of waves crashing over the deck providing a salty ocean and cedarwood undertone. Coriander, pink pepper and a touch of west indies bay provide a spice melange that gives some brawn to a new modern classic."
This soap is well-presented with it retro labeling. It lathers well and the scent is, as the description states, a refreshing lime based reimagining of an old classic.

I went with Proraso Red cream, dried into a tub, today. I got the idea from TobyC , and I'm so glad I did it.
I've used it three or four times now and I'm convinced there is sizeably less film/residue from the dried cream than from the hard soap. That means less cleanup of my shiney razors.
Have a wonderful weekend DFS!
