One of the great things about the current soft Ethos soaps is that they are very conducive to blending in the bowl. Today’s combo was a mix of Ethos Lavender Supreme and Ethos Safi. What a great aroma and lather!

This scent is often neglected until cooler weather sets in. Generally I don't categorize scents into seasonal usage, but there's something about evergreen scents in warm weather that doesn't always appeal to me. Today I enjoyed the scent and loved the performance. Paolo makes some darn fine soaps.

Stirling Sheep base has long been a favorite! Scots Pine scent hits all the marks.  It probably could have turned into a Pinesol scent but it didn’t!  This soap reminds me so much of the Scots Pines in our yard growing up.  The 830 Semogue isn’t really dense but it sure does well with this soap.

I would have never thought of mixing the two together but now I’ll have to try it. Thanks for always thinking outside the box!

Beautiful brush! Who’s the maker?
That darn Rob [TDR] now calls his shop 'Chiseled Hound'

Really nice handles. His 'Fanchurian knots' are solid.

Scraper - or smellers are very similar. I use this one all year as well. Very appealing and the base is good

Clay Face

Bergwiese Cream v. (Norbeck) woody floral
Shave 1 ・ 0% left

This was a three-gram sample, just enough for one luxurious shave. The kind people as Esbjerg included with my last shipment. I’m not sure what the relationship between Esbjerg and Norbeck is. I wouldn’t be surprised to learn they are the same company. They seem to use the same recipes for their creams and post-shave gels. And today’s lather was just as slick and and thick as yesterday’s shave with Esbjerg cream. In fact, it was wicked slick, and that made for a very comfortable shave. How did it smell? Like most other woody–floral fragrances, Bergwiese reminded me of a funeral home. That’s just where wood and flowers take me. A very personal interpretation. I’m sure it would do something wonderful for you. So even though I loved the performance to pieces, I probably won’t be ordering a full jar soon.
