I like a pretty firm puck. When a soap gets too soft, it’s a nuisance to load from. (And creams should always be packaged in a tube so you can just squeeze the right amount onto your brush without having to get all goopy dipping it into a tub.) Noble Otter’s soaps are just the right consistency. You can build a lather on them without drilling a hole right through to the bottom. And it’s a good lather, too. Full of fats and butters, it suits this hot, dry time of the year when the lawns and even the sap in the trees and bushes seems to have withered away.

Grooming Department Soap

Very pleasant, moderate scent level, perfect to use for a day when you don't want shave EDP/EDT interference. Post shave delightful.

Boys, i am on bottle 3 of this Turkish AFS. Very inexpensive, unobtrusive, and i like the lemon on it. I don't think i have seen it every posted on any shave blog. Hmmmm?

Worth a try as it is not pricey at all. Reminds of St Charles Shave Lemon/Verbena. [Image: c68408c3f80cd8943c21060dd3712055.jpg][Image: 7e3a67da2063b438d364b9ed1f72f2a6.jpg]

Haslinger Salbei (tallow)

Yes everyone knew when they switched from tallow to vegan.

Show of hands... How many knew there was propylene glycol in this soap?
(Btw, did you know there was peanut oil?)

Darkfall again this morning - no pic because I had everything set up ready for the shot and, well, i don't know what happened! That can't be a good omen for how my day is going to go
