What soap/cream did you use today?

I really rather enjoy the small scent of this old tub of Rose.  Performance is nearly brainless it’s so easy to use.  I sure wish I could have smelled a brand new tub before Art of Shaving discontinued this scent.  It must have been glorious, but as it stands right now the scent is just so unobtrusive as to in no way detract from the great shave it offers.  Better than a scentless product but so subtle.  I do like it.

Yesterday I used the Marco Method to load my boar brush. This juicy approach gobbled up three grams of soap, but it made a mess of the sink, and frankly boar just can’t compete with my synthetic Peregrino when it comes to making a slick, wholesome lather. One thing I did like about the boar, though, was its feral pong. A bit of wildness suits a bay rum. But even that rich combo can get old. Luckily, just when I think I’m getting tired of the bay in this soap, the bergamot steps up to the plate, and it’s a whole new game. What once was rummy becomes tea-like. In fact, there are times when I’m reminded of Barrister & Mann’s Cheshire. Overall, Mike’s is a mildly scented bay rum. Still, it’s full of interesting facets that keep me coming back day after day.

MacDuffs Raspberry Metheglin. Got an A1 shave with it last night.

How did you like the scent?  Can you compare it to anything or give a brief description?  I'm really intrigued by MacDuff's description.
