Tonight I used a sample of Sir Henry's Island Estate, Dominic's Bay rum. This has been reviewed here a few times, I believe, so I won't go into the details of the scent. However, I wanted to add my own thoughts.

When I lather this soap I was hit with such a specific spicy scent that I haven't smelled in a long time. Now, my memory may be failing me, but this brought back distinct memories of The Gentleman's Quarter Desert Ironwood. This company has been defunct for a long while, but they made some CLASSY scents in their brief time.

I was truly blown away by this scent. So much so that I (1) caved and used the credit (since they didn't have it on Amazon) and (2) put in my order before I posted this - because I needed to be sure I got it. Lol.

While I was there, I also grabbed a puck of Black & Tan for the cold weather months. Thanks Dominick!

Hurray!  His Bay is most awesome.  If you are a sandalwood fan Sir Henrys is excellent.

I offered her some of my leftover lather, and she asked "What scent is this? Gasoline?". Hmmph. And I think my olfactory skills suck.

Definitely not gasoline. That stuff is great. I splashed on some alvarez gomez agua de colonia the other morning and my wife asked if i was sore? She smelled ben gay

Now, Chiseled Face "Midnight Stag" is straight up gasoline. At least to my nose, as I pick up none of the other notes. Maleki? Anything but gasoline. Truthfully, my wife doesn't seem to care for most of the scents I have. Usually, she's impartial to them at best. There are only a few that she likes.

Funny story about the Ben Gay scent too. It's interesting how different people perceive scents.

Did you happen to see the PM regarding "Rhapsody"? I did respond, even though I'm probably not much help. Definitely not rose forward, though...
Going to try to secure a puk per your rec brother. Sounds great - classic base

Good luck with the search. I'll keep my eyes peeled as well. Worst case, I believe it's seasonal, so hopefully it'll come around again. I just wish Will would keep the original Soft Heart base around, and offer that choice with all releases. I'm sure it comes down to a business decision. But, one can wish...

Still have some short soaps to kill but hey, it’s Fathers Day so out came the Sir Henrys Sandalwood.  It’s been fun watching Dom and crew getting some love that they certainly deserve with an artisanal soap that lathers easy like Tabac and scents that stack up in a most pleasing way.  My least liked scent of the batch only scores an 8.5!  Hahaha.  All of them are awesome but this Sandalwood and Black Velvet sure lead the pack.  Shoot, they lead everyone’s pack.  Happy Fathers Day lads.  It’s a great one for me.

Rhapsody is awesome.  I have it in Glissant and for my purposes, Glissant is his perfect base.

Grooming Department Regenwald

Hot and humid here in Dallas. Heat index above 100. My fondness for green scents is fulfilled in the summer as I get to use pux like this. A perfect pairing with the drugstore cheapie [one of my favorites] Halston 1-12.

Slick and moisturizing -
