What soap/cream did you use today?

I took a day off from GD "Maleki". Maybe I'll try using it every other day until it's gone. Maybe not. We'll see. Nonetheless, this soap spoke to me today, and it was a wise choice.

Crabtree & Evelyn Mysore Sandalwood shaving cream (vintage), a great one, equal in quality to the C&E Sweet Almond Oil cream

Picked this up from Pasteur's during the Father's Day sale.  St James doesn't show up very often in this thread so I wasn't expecting too much from the base.  From that perspective, I got what I expected.  But the scent....Black Pepper and Lime...what a great combo!

The Black Pepper & Lime definitely smells nice but it's not nice enough to overtake my #1 Black Pepper-scented soap, the one and only Black Velvet

I was so impressed with the Eufros base, I decided to grab my 2nd choice in scents during the Pasteur's sale.  This pairs up perfectly with CL Rose Santal splash...

Mike’s Bay Rum t. (Mike’s Natural Soaps) bay & bergamot

Taking ExtraProtein’s advice, I grated this new puck of Mike’s Bay Rum. (I hope it opens the mild scent.) Then I packed it into a square wooden bowl. It just fits. The plastic tub the soap came in was good enough, but there’s something raw about a hand carved bowl that just seems to suit bay rum. And there’s something about bay rum that just suits this time of year. Here in the beach shack, all the windows are open and everything is covered with salty dust. Outside the coconut palms are swaying in the breeze, the surf’s lapping the sand, and the neighbor’s radio is playing Bob Marley. It’s high time for a deep dive into bay rum.
