I cannot believe the ridiculous pile of soap I have accumulated.  Stuff that has been junk was used up as bath soap or hand soap.  But the others….. The others are enjoyable for one reason or another and although I suppose I could move them along, I’m not really into used soaps and don’t feel the need to pawn them off on someone else.  Besides, I kept them because I enjoyed them.  So what harm is there in keeping them around and using them only occasionally?  There are two shaves left in this tub and Poggio dei Pini is done.  It is so good.  So very good.  Great lather but I have to load it long.  Great slickness.  Great post shave.  But it’ll always be about the scent on this one. And I do love that brush.  Handle by my son and knot is badger/boar mixed.  

Mike’s Bay Rum t. (Mike’s Natural Soap) bay & bergamot

I’m not smelling any rum, but there is a little patch of vanilla that gives this otherwise austere bay some sweetness. And there’s a whiff of bergamot on top that adds some brightness. Like all of Mike’s scents, this is what it is, in this case good quality bay oil in a fantastic base. There aren’t any surprises, but what’s here is good, clean, and honest.

Picked this up from Pasteur's during the Father's Day sale.  St James doesn't show up very often in this thread so I wasn't expecting too much from the base.  From that perspective, I got what I expected.  But the scent....Black Pepper and Lime...what a great combo!

Phoenix St. Martin's Land (CK-6)

As a dedicated servant, I used this again to see if I could figure out what happened with the scent after lathering... but it seems my nose was just broken yesterday (I had my suspicions, though I can't explain).

The scent remains a beautiful ginger ale (to give you a sense, not exactly), and I get some salt water.

A sparkling, spritzy delight. Now I want some spiced rum.
