Love v. (Soap Commander) stem & bloom
Step into a florist’s rose cooler and take a deep breath and what you’ll smell is Soap Commander’s Love. Is this the truest rose scent in all shaverdom? Well, yeah. It smells just like an American Beauty rose – petals, stem, leaves, thorns, and all. And yes, it smells good. But it’s a modern rose scent. If you like the boozy sweetness of old fashioned roses, this may come across a little thin. All the same, it’s fantastic and well worth the price. The lather is sweet & dandy, but I can’t say it knocked my socks off. As churchilllafemme noted, Love might leave you feeling a little dry at first. Luckily, the Shea butter kicks in after about an hour. I'm giving extra snaps to Soap Commander for selling Love as a three-ounce puck. I wish more soap cookers offered there wares in smallish sizes. Four-ounce tubs seem to last forever.

I'm glad we are on a rose kick. This one is definitely a green rose centric fougere. It has the green of the rose leaves and stems (not petals) on a base something like Clubman.
Scent Profile: French Lavender, Bergamot, Petitgrain, Rose Geranium, Tonka Bean, Clary Sage, Fir Needle, Pine, Juniper, Chamomile, Bamboo, Cedarwood, Haitian Vetiver, Rose Absolute, Hay Absolute, Oakmoss Absolute.
