What soap/cream did you use today?

The last of MW Windjammer!  It's a great scent and even better soap base, but I don't see a replacement for this one showing up in the den anytime soon.  

Great work, HoosierShave! The way you're chewing through soap this year is truly inspirational. And today's lather is a lovely thing to behold. But I think I know what you mean when you say you don't see a replacement for this one any time soon. I enjoy my Mystic Water soaps, but I don't feel any need to order more. The lather is fantastic and the finish is sublime, but the fragrances all start smelling the same after a while. If I have just one tub of MW soap on hand, I'll feel satisfied.

Tallow + Steel Orangeilla

I was never a fan of a tobacco scented soap with an exception for the Shire and Tobacconist by The House of Mammoth. When I learned that Will decided to release his The Full Measure of Man, I was regrettably not planning to buy it. Until I saw a few reviews that were rather negative and, to my opinion, subjective, unnecessarily dismissive, and to some extent disrespectful.

However, I agree with many that Will’s scents could be polarizing, but I am in the category of those who actually likes his most polarizing scents. So I decided to give TFMOM a try. I am very glad that I did. After the very first shave it joined at the top my most favorite B&M soap ever - The Leviathan.  And the label on TFMOM is absolutely classy and cool!

Unfortunately, that rate is going to come to a screeching halt!  I have two left to finish but Darkfall is probably 1/3 full.  Forest City Fern is nearing completion but I probably have a good 10 to 15 shaves left on it.  I still I can finish both by the end of the year though.

Woody Almond v. (Meißner Tremonia)

I normally don’t like almond-scented soaps. They’re too cloying. But Meißner Tremonia puts enough cedar into their Woody Almond to temper the sweetness. It’s still on the sugary side, but it doesn’t gag you like Cella and some other almond scents. Pity they didn’t work a puff of smoke into the fragrance, but I guess they didn’t want to run the risk of having their soap smell like bacon (not that many of us would object if it did).
