Just want to check... The C&E doesn't smell like cheeseburgers, does it?!?

Those look tasty, BTW.
Haha thanks! The burgers were amazing, best I've ever made.

The soap is a light floral/soapy scent. Very nice scent and shave, with a plump finish, as Bouki would say.

Shaving is about nostalgia and Harris Marlborough scent is that on steroids for me.  I’ve been working through this puck of soap for nigh on two years now.  I am just weird enough to have scent memories of shaving.  (i know, a wet shaver with some weirdness?  Who would have thunk?). Anyway, I. Also weird enough that I don’t lather a soap in it’s wonderful wooden bowl but dump the puck into my hand, load there, drop the puck in the sink to clean it up and put it on a towel to dry as I lather and shave.  Consequently my wooden bowls are pristine.  I know......weird.  This puck is getting light.  Maybe 30 more shaves?  Will it be replaced?  Yep.  Already is.

Woods of Windsor shaving soap (vintage). It still makes good lather otherwise, but the scent is disappearing (to my old nose, at least). I may be able to keep it viable by adding a few drops of rose oil/hydrosol or a cologne to the lather.

Wholly Kaw Man from Mayfair

What a lather boys. Green bitter rose - perfect for the early spring warm we are having here in Dallas. I had to check my razor for the blade!

Initially was going to pair this with Andy Tauer Une Rose Khandahar - but that is way too smooth. This soap requires something green and biting - went with Diptique's L'Ombre dans L'eau. Great fit.
